Modern Improvisational Quilting with Rulers and Templates with Janet Collins
2hrs
Hands on Domestic Sewing Machine
Suitable for Confident Beginner
Friday 26th August 4-6pm
It’s all about filling space creatively and allowing your imagination and style to flow. Ever looked at your quilt with lots of background space that is just calling to be quilted and you wanted something new, modern and different (not just stippling) and how you could come up with your own style of fill.
Well you can, using Templates on a Domestic Sewing Machine. I thought that this would be a fun way to spend a Saturday afternoon.
Play Pass the Parcel ‘Westalee Style’, Have some fun with templates – without rules ... well not many.

Guess you don’t need a GPS to take this class! Let’s now consider the design layout and then plot the direction for stitching all three grids in a continuous line while using the Westalee ruler foot and just one template in readiness for filling the blank spaces with some of your favourite fills.
