Teacher in the Spotlight - Crystal Smythe

GALA DINNER - URGENT NOTICE.....

If you are joining us for our fabulous Gala Dinner on Saturday night and have any special dietary requirements can you please email Sharon with the details.

Teacher in the Spotlight

The days and weeks until Festival are slipping away so quickly and we still have several teachers to introduce!  So without further ado, today we are featuring Crystal Smythe.

Crystal is coming to us from the United States and has extensive teaching experience through her classes at MQX and she has also contributed to Machine Quilting Unilimited.  In addition to her wealth of quilting experience she is a Certified Intelliquilter Trainer and she designs her own range of digitised patterns.  How fortunate are we that she will be with us to share her expertise!  For those of you who have an Intelliquilter or are thinking of getting one, her classes are a must.

Crystal is offering four classes at Festival the majority of which are 2 hour, lecture style classes and cost $63.00.

The first class I want to tell you about is Custom Creative Quilting with Pantos.  In this class you will learn to take all over quilting to the next level.  Crystal will show you how to really make your quilts pop with some clever planning and placement tricks.

Crystal is also offering a borders class called Borders, Borders, Borders.   This class will teach you how to use your Intelliquilter to plan and stitch out borders and to use the L Corners function for hassle free quilting – never turn a quilt again!

The last class I want to talk to you about is Intelliquilter Tips and Tricks where you will learn to make custom quilting more efficient and to define blocks and manipulate patterns to ensure they will line up perfectly to the last corner.

Crystal encourages you to bring your camera to class to capture the ideas and techniques demonstrated.
You can learn more about Crystal’s classes here including her advanced Intelliquilter class, Extreme Editing and you can visit her website to find out more information about this amazing teacher.

We'll be back soon with more exciting updates from Festival HQ!

Talk soon,

Shontelle.
