Update on Quilting Roster
We'd like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for your generous offers of help and support in our effort to establish a quilting roster database.
The aim of AMQF is to manage the database and if the need arises in the future we will be able to put machine quilters in touch with individual organisations that may require tops quilted. This will be of a great help getting the quilts to those in need as quickly as possible.
There are quilters on the database from most states of Australia and at this stage, as far as I have been informed, all the quilts that we have been notified of have been allocated and/or completed; the quilts have been allocated according to "logistics" where possible.
Australian Patchwork and Quilting contacted us on hearing about the roster and an article will be published in the June edition of AP&Q so that as many people as possible will be aware that this service is available.
Thanks once again, it has made us proud to be part of such a generous community.
Sharon & Tracey
